Legal Notice

The Town of Redfield, Oswego County, New York will be accepting sealed bids for the Refuse and Recyclable Contract for 2027.   Sealed bids should be mailed to Town Clerk Susan Hough, PO Box 178, Redfield, NY  13437 or dropped off at the Redfield Municipal Building during her regular hours of business (Tuesday & Wednesday 9am – 2pm).  Bids will be accepted until September 8, 2026 at 2:00pm.  Said sealed bids will be opened and read on September 8, 2026 after public hearings, at the Regular monthly meeting of the Redfield Town Board at the Redfield Municipal Building located at 4830 Co Rt 17, Redfield, NY  13437.

Specifications for this contract may be obtained from the Redfield Town Clerk – Susan Hough during regular business hours or on the Town of Redfield’s website: townofredfield.com.  All Bids must be accompanied by a Non-Collusive Bidding Certificate executed pursuant to section 103d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York.  These certificates are available from the Town Clerk. The Town Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids offered.

Information for bidders of the 2027 Trash and Recycling Contract for the Town of Redfield:

 

It is the responsibility of all bidders to verify all information and develop their actual route miles prior to bid. Exceptions or alteration of the bid form will be grounds for rejection of any bids submitted.

 

The awarded bid will not have any provisions for fuel surcharges. The awarded bid will also be renewable on or before the last day of the year for an additional twelve months, not to exceed a total of sixty (60) months, five years.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that two public hearings will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Redfield, at the Redfield Municipal Building located at 4830 Co Rt 17, Redfield, NY 13437 on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 7:00pm. The purpose of hearing #1 is to consider the proposed Local Law # 2 of 2026 – a Local Law for the Administration and Enforcement of the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building code (the Uniform code) and the State Energy Conservation Construction Code (the Energy Code) for the Town of Redfield. The purpose of Hearing #2 is to consider the proposed Local Law # 3 of 2026 a Local Law to Establish Dog Control Regulations for the Town of Redfield, County of Oswego. All interested persons will be heard at the above-mentioned time and place.  The regular September Board Meeting will begin directly following the Public Hearings.
