NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF LOCAL LAW SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM

Notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of Redfield, County of Oswego, State of New York, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 14th day of December 2021, did adopt a local law pursuant to New York State Cannabis Law Section 131 opting out of allowing cannabis retail dispensaries and on-site cannabis consumption sites within the Town of Redfield. This Local Law is subject to a permissive referendum pursuant to Section 24 of the Municipal Home Rule Law. A complete copy of the approval resolution and local law summarized herewith is available for public inspection at the Office of the Redfield Town Clerk. A petition, to be valid, must be submitted within forty-five (45) days of the date of adoption of the resolution.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Redfield, at the Redfield Municipal Building located at 4830 Co Rt 17, Redfield, NY 13437 on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 6:30pm. The purpose of this hearing is to consider the proposed Local Law # 1 of 2021 – A local law to opt out of allowing cannabis retail dispensaries and on-site consumption sites as authorized under Cannabis Law Article 4.  All interested persons will be heard at the above-mentioned time and place.  The regular December Board Meeting will begin following the Public Hearing.
